As part of the Kalvi Suttrula educational tour, which celebrates students for their achievements in academics and various activities, 22 government school students are gearing up for an exciting trip to Germany from Saturday until May 28.
Accompanied by a teacher and an official from the educational department, these students will explore the vibrant city of Munich and visit a local university.

Their itinerary includes stops at the BMW Museum, the Dachau concentration camp, and the Deutsche Museum. They’ll also get to experience the enchanting Swarovski Crystal Worlds and take a ride on the Hungerburg Funicular in Munich.
This initiative, funded by the State government at a cost of Rs 3 crore, rewards students who shine in club activities like book reading, fine arts, children’s films, sports, and science with international educational tours.
So far, 323 students have had the opportunity to visit countries such as the UAE, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
In the 2022-23 academic year, the Minister of School Education announced that students excelling in both academic and extracurricular activities would be selected for these educational tours. That year, 25 students were chosen as winners in four club competitions held at various levels—school, block, district, and state.
These students, who were in classes 6-9 at government middle, high, and higher secondary schools, were rewarded with this foreign educational tour to broaden their horizons.
According to data from the School Education Department, 25 students from quiz and rainbow clubs were taken to South Korea, 24 from the children’s film club went to South Korea, and 25 from the literary club traveled to Singapore.
Additionally, 21 students from the art club visited Malaysia, while 22 from the sports club had the chance to explore Japan.
