Girls’ excellence was the clear highlight of the Uttar Pradesh Board results this year. As the 2025 high school and intermediate results were announced on Friday, girls stole the spotlight with their remarkable performances. In high school (Class X), the overall pass percentage reached 90.11%, with girls leading boys by a strong margin of 7.21%. In Intermediate (Class XII), the pass rate stood at 81.15%, and girls widened the gap even further by outshining boys by 9.77%.
This year, students and parents have praised the UP Board not just for the results but for the speed and transparency of the evaluation process. Results were declared within 43 days, creating a new benchmark for efficiency.
Gautam Budh Nagar district also made a strong impact, showing excellent results across urban, rural, and even correctional segments. In high school, Tanvi Nagar of Yash Memorial School, Bishanpura (Sector 58) topped the district with an outstanding 95%. For Intermediate, Dev Thakur of V.R.Y.S.V. Inter College, Kalaonda secured the top position with 90.80%.
Sheetal Singh from Yash Memorial School came second in high school with 93.17%, and Krishna from SDS School, Dankaur, took third with 92.83%. In Intermediate, Anushka Kumari of CRS Girls Inter College, Sadar Pur, shared the second rank with 90.80%, while Anshu Jaiswal of KCS Girls Inter College, Surajpur, secured third with 89.80%.
Talking about her journey, Tanvi Nagar said, “Hindi was a tough subject for me, but I still scored 90%. There was some stress during preparation, but my family supported me at every step. I plan to choose physics, chemistry, and mathematics for my higher studies.” Similarly, Dev Thakur mentioned that maths and chemistry were his favourite subjects. “Physics was a bit tricky for me, but I managed an 82% score. My family never pressured me for marks. They kept me motivated. I aim to join the civil services,” he said.

One of the most inspiring parts of this year’s results came from inmates in Uttar Pradesh jails, including those in Gautam Budh Nagar. In high school, 91 out of 94 inmates passed, resulting in a success rate of 96.81%. In Intermediate, 91 out of 105 inmates cleared their exams with an 86.67% success rate. A senior jail official shared that some inmates also acted as peer tutors, describing the development as a “silent revolution in rehabilitation.”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated all students and the education authorities. He highlighted the cheating-free and transparent examinations made possible through advanced technology and strict monitoring.
The Board conducted exams from February 24 to March 12 across 8,140 centres. Evaluation began on March 19 and was completed by April 2 at 261 centres, with over 1,48,000 teachers participating.
According to statistics, about 25,45,000 students appeared for the high school exams (13,27,000 boys and 12,18,000 girls). In Intermediate, around 25,98,000 students appeared. In both exams, girls led by significant margins, setting a strong example of dedication, discipline, and academic brilliance.
With such outstanding results, Uttar Pradesh is not just celebrating marks but a future filled with promise, determination, and pride.
