Felicitation Ceremony Honors Top Minority Students in Hyderabad

Felicitation took center stage on Tuesday as over 1,500 high-achieving students from the Intermediate BPC stream were honoured at a grand ceremony held at the Siasat Auditorium in Hyderabad. Organised by Congress MLC Amer Ali Khan, the event recognised students who scored 90 percent and above, reinforcing the vital role education plays in transforming lives and uplifting communities.

Recognising Academic Excellence
The event was not just a celebration of marks, but a recognition of hard work, consistency, and determination. Forty-three exceptional students who scored between 99 percent and 99.6 percent received cash prizes, certificates, gold medals, and smartwatches. Another 204 students who scored 95 percent and above were also gifted smartwatches to encourage their continued success.

Education as a Tool for Change
Amer Ali Khan addressed the gathering with a powerful message: “Education is the only tool to break the chains of backwardness.” His words resonated with students and parents alike, as he emphasised how education has the potential to empower individuals and entire communities. Citing historical examples like Muhammad bin Qasim, Salahuddin Ayyubi, and Imam Bukhari, he urged students to dream big and work hard.

Students as Community Role Models
The Congress MLC further called on students to serve as ambassadors of their community. “Your achievements are not just for you,” he said. “They are a beacon of hope and motivation for the next generation.” His speech encouraged students to carry forward their academic success into future roles as doctors, scientists, educators, and leaders.

Support for Girls’ Education
Adding to the moment, Faize-Aam Trust secretary Iftekhar Hussain made a heartfelt appeal to parents, especially regarding the education of daughters. He noted that girls often outperform boys and stressed the importance of equal opportunities. “Support your daughters’ education, and you’ll see entire families grow stronger,” he said.

Building a Future Through Education
The felicitation event was more than a reward — it was a call to action. By recognising these students, the ceremony highlighted how acknowledgment can fuel ambition. It sent a clear message to young people from minority communities that their efforts matter and their dreams are valid.

As applause echoed through the auditorium, it became clear that this event wasn’t just about medals or smartwatches. It was about lighting a spark — one that will continue to burn in classrooms, libraries, and future careers. With continued support and inspiration, these students are on the path to becoming the changemakers their communities need.
