Adding to the achievements, four other students from the same programme — Computer Engineering at Jamia Millia Islamia — were recruited by IDFC First Bank. They were offered the role of Application Engineers with packages of ₹16 lakh per annum each. These offers not only mark a strong beginning for the placement drive but also highlight the demand for Jamia Millia Islamia’s Computer Engineering graduates in high-paying, technology-driven roles.

The Electronics and Communication Engineering department of Jamia Millia Islamia also joined the early celebrations when one of its students bagged a pre-placement offer from Accenture. The student was hired for the role of Associate Software Engineer, with a package of ₹11.89 lakh per annum. For the Electronics stream, this selection was a morale booster, showing that opportunities for Jamia Millia Islamia’s ECE graduates remain robust, especially in global technology consulting firms like Accenture.

Meanwhile, Electrical Engineering students at Jamia Millia Islamia also made their mark in the opening phase of placements. Siemens Energy India Limited (SEIL), a reputed recruiter in the field of energy and technology, hired three students from this department. Two B.Tech graduates were selected as Graduate Engineer Trainees with a package of ₹6 lakh per annum each. In addition, one M.Tech graduate from the same department received the role of Post Graduate Engineer Trainee with a package of ₹9 lakh per annum. These offers stood as a reminder that Jamia Millia Islamia’s strength lies not just in computer-related fields but also in the core engineering branches.

The Placement Cell of Jamia Millia Islamia, in its statement, emphasised that these early selections are only the beginning. “These offers reflect the confidence of top recruiters in the skills and potential of Jamia Millia Islamia students,” the Cell noted. The placements are being conducted under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi.
