ICAI CA Final & Inter May 2025 results out. Over 14,000 qualify as CAs. Disha Ashish tops Inter exam. Check pass percentages, toppers & next steps.
The wait is finally over for thousands of aspiring Chartered Accountants across the country. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially declared the results of the CA Final and Intermediate exams held in May 2025. Candidates who appeared for the exams from May 16 to May 24 can now check their results on the official websites — icai.nic.in and icai.org — using their registration number and roll number.
CA Final May 2025: Over 14,000 Newly Minted Chartered Accountants
The CA Final results have brought a wave of celebration for many, as 14,247 candidates have officially qualified to become Chartered Accountants this year.
In Group I, a total of 66,943 candidates appeared, out of which 14,979 cleared the exam, resulting in a pass percentage of 22.38%. For Group II, 46,173 candidates appeared, and 12,204 passed — making the pass percentage 26.43%.
Among the 29,286 students who appeared for both groups simultaneously, 5,490 cleared the exam with a pass percentage of 18.75%. These results reflect the challenging nature of the exams, as well as the determination and resilience of the aspirants.
CA Final Toppers 2025:
- AIR 1: Rajan Kabra – 86%
- AIR 2: Nishitha Bothra – 83.83%
- AIR 3: Manav Rakesh Shah – 82.17%
CA Intermediate May 2025: Disha Ashish Tops with 85.5%
The CA Intermediate exam also saw intense competition this year. Out of 97,034 candidates in Group I, 14,232 passed, marking a pass percentage of 14.67%. In Group II, 15,502 out of 72,069 candidates cleared the exam, achieving a 21.51% pass rate.
Among those who appeared in both groups together, 38,029 candidates took the exams, and 5,028 succeeded — a pass percentage of 13.22%.
CA Inter Toppers 2025:
- AIR 1: Disha Ashish – 513/600 (85.5%)
- AIR 2: Devidan Yash – 503 (83.83%)
- AIR 3 (tie): Yamish Jain – 502 (83.67%)
- AIR 4 (tie): Nilay Dangi – 502 (83.67%)
Next Steps for Candidates
ICAI will dispatch printed mark sheets by post within 30 days of the result declaration. If any student does not receive their statement of marks within 4–5 weeks, they can write to the respective emails for assistance:
- CA Inter: exam.dmsinter@icai.in

For those who have cleared both groups, either in one sitting or separately, pass certificates will be issued within 60 days. If not received within eight weeks, candidates should again reach out to ICAI via the above emails.
Distinction & Rank Certificates
Candidates who clear all papers in one sitting with 70% or more will receive a “Distinction” printed on their pass certificate.
ICAI also awards rank certificates to the top 50 students nationally, provided they:
- Pass all exams in a single attempt
- Have not availed of any exemptions
- Secure at least 55% aggregate marks
These rank certificates are sent to the regional ICAI offices for distribution.
Rechecking, Certified Copies & Important Rules
Students can apply for verification of answer sheets through the Self Service Portal (SSP) within 30 days of result announcement. The fee is ₹100 per paper, with a cap of ₹400 per group or both groups.
Those interested in certified copies of their evaluated answer sheets can request them online via SSP. The fee is ₹500 per paper, and scanned copies will be emailed to the candidate’s registered address.
Important: ICAI does not allow reappearing for improvement in any group already passed. There is no provision for performance enhancement once a group is cleared.
