Delhi University Admissions 2025: New Courses, CSAS Portal, PG and Law Program Details

From UG, PG, and BTech to Integrated Law — Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Admissions at Delhi University (DU) for the 2025–2026 academic year are now officially open, and this year brings several new changes and opportunities for students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. From the launch of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal to the introduction of integrated law degrees, DU is expanding its offerings and streamlining processes for applicants.

🏛️ CSAS UG Admissions: How the Process Works

The CSAS 2025 undergraduate admissions portal has gone live, enabling students to begin their application journey. This centralised system is designed to simplify the admissions process across DU’s 79 affiliated colleges, offering a total of 71,624 seats across reserved and unreserved categories.

The admissions process is divided into two phases:

Phase 1: Registration & Document Submission

  • Students must submit personal details, Class 12 scores, and their CUET-UG 2025 roll number.
  • Academic documents must be uploaded at this stage.
  • No program or college preferences are required yet.
  • Application fee:
    • ₹250 for General/OBC applicants
    • ₹100 for SC/ST/PwD applicants
    • Additional ₹400 for performance/practical-based programs
    • ₹100 for ECA/sports quota consideration

Phase 2: Choosing Program and College Preferences

This phase begins once CUET-UG 2025 results are out.

  • Subject Mapping: Match your CUET subjects with Class 12 subjects to verify eligibility.
  • Eligibility Check: Confirm which DU courses you’re eligible for using mapped subjects and scores.
  • Selection & Ranking: Choose and rank your program-college combinations through a user-friendly filter system.
  • Final Submission: Lock preferences before the deadline. If students don’t act in time, their latest selections will be auto-locked.

Important: Once preferences are locked, they cannot be changed. Your ranking will heavily influence seat allocation.

🎓 What’s New This Year?

  • Class 10 Marks for Tie-breakers: Students must upload their Class 10 results to be used in tie-breaking scenarios.
  • Communication Made Easier: DU will notify students of important updates (like seat allocation and payment deadlines) via their registered email.
  • Subject Changes: DU has removed Engineering Graphics, Entrepreneurship, and three other subjects from its domain-specific list. Students should only take CUET subjects they studied in Class 12 unless stated otherwise.

🧑‍🎓 DU PG Admissions 2025: Seat Allotments Begin

For postgraduate aspirants, DU will release the first seat allocation list today at 5 PM, based on performance in CUET-PG 2025. Students can check their status via the official portal.
