IIM BANGALORE Launches Strategic Leadership Programme for GCC Executives

IIM BANGALORE is pleased to launch a specialized executive education programme tailored to senior business professionals employed with Global Capability Centres (GCCs). The new programme, titled ‘Leadership Programme to Build Resilient GCCs’, will help enrich strategic leadership capacities and develop the global mindset amongst GCC leaders.

As per an official announcement, the programme will start on July 24, and candidates can now apply on IIM BANGALORE’s official website — iimb.ac.in. The deadline to apply is June 24. Designed for professionals with 15+ years of experience in leadership positions in GCCs, the 10-day programme will be spread over a period of four months.

The IIM BANGALORE programme has been designed to enable participants to navigate a more complex business world and create sustained value. It has been co-developed by IIM BANGALORE faculty and industry experts and provides access to strategy workshops, peer-learning sessions, and faculty and global business leader insights.

IIM BANGALORE: How will this new programme influence the next generation of strategic GCC leaders in the face of accelerating global and technological changes?

The program is structured in three separate modules that each concentrate on key aspects of GCC leadership:

  1. Driving GCC Excellence – Unlocking Enterprise Value (3 days):
The introductory module will delve into the operational details of GCCs and map out what must happen to create and maintain a world-class global centre.
  2. **Leadership Skills for GCC Success (4 days):
Focusing on comprehensive leadership development, this module adopts a three-pronged strategy: self-leadership, building relationships, and organizational development.
  3. Facilitating Global Impact through Strategic Thinking and Innovation (3 days):
The third module is aimed at developing a future-oriented mindset, empowering participants to leverage emerging technologies for global business transformation.

Students of the IIM BANGALORE programme will also develop a personalized leadership roadmap and create a future-ready strategic blueprint, making sure that the learning takeaways are implementable and customized to actual leadership issues.

The programme introduction is made at a moment when India’s GCC industry is expanding very fast. As per IIM BANGALORE’s announcement, the nation presently has more than 1,700 GCCs, a figure set to increase to 2,100–2,200 by 2030. Furthermore, employment within the industry is anticipated to increase from 1.9 million to between 2.5 and 2.8 million within the same time frame.

IIM BANGALORE’s leadership programme is an apt intervention at this juncture as organisations look to establish robust, future-resilient global operations. The programme is a strategic initiative to equip senior GCC professionals with the capability to lead in a changing global environment.

For more information and registration, applicants are invited to visit IIM BANGALORE’s official portal by June 24.
