IIM Kashipur Launches Executive Program in Net Zero and Sustainability Leadership with evACAD
In a significant step toward promoting sustainability and clean energy leadership, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with pManifold EV Academy Pvt Ltd (evACAD), a Nagpur-based organization specializing in electric mobility and clean energy education.
This partnership aims to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in sustainability, green financing, ESG, carbon markets, and the circular economy. As part of this collaboration, the two institutions are launching a forward-looking program titled the Post Graduate Executive Certificate Programme in Net Zero Strategy and Sustainability Leadership.
A New-Age Program for Emerging Green Leaders
Designed for working professionals, this executive certificate program is tailored for individuals with backgrounds in core engineering, energy, oil and gas, power, consulting, corporate finance, and sustainability. The goal is to empower these professionals to lead the transition to clean energy and sustainable business practices across industries, including corporates, government agencies, MSMEs, the social sector, and civil society.
According to the official press release, the curriculum is comprehensive and future-facing, covering an impressive array of topics:
- Climate systems and decarbonization technologies
- Net zero pathways and carbon markets
- Green and climate financing
- Sustainable and circular business models
- Climate risk and economics
- Ecosystem thinking and systems innovation
The program is anchored on the foundational principles of People, Planet, and Profit—reflecting a balanced approach that integrates social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and economic growth.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
This isn’t just another classroom-based course. IIM Kashipur and evACAD are focusing on interactive, application-driven learning. The program includes:
- Case study-based pedagogy
- Collaborative projects and simulations
- Team-based sustainability challenges

Participants will not only learn how to build sustainable solutions, but also how to lead change—within their organizations and beyond. MoU Signing Ceremony
The formal signing of the MoU took place in the presence of IIM Kashipur faculty members, led by Prof. Kunal Ganguly, Dean (Development), and Mr. Rahul Bagdia, Chairman and Managing Director of pManifold EV Academy Pvt Ltd.
Prof. Vaibhav Bhamoriya and other senior officials from IIM Kashipur were also in attendance, emphasizing the institute’s growing focus on sustainability, environmental impact, and responsible leadership as part of its long-term academic mission.
A Growing and Diverse Student Community at IIM Kashipur
Meanwhile, IIM Kashipur recently welcomed 433 new students into its academic community for the 2025–2027 academic cycle. The institute inaugurated its new batch across three core programs:
- MBA – 265 students
- MBA (Analytics) – 157 students
- PhD Program – 11 research scholars
The new students hail from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, including engineering, science, commerce, and the arts. This diversity adds to the richness of peer learning and cross-disciplinary collaboration that IIM Kashipur actively fosters.
The induction program was held from June 23 to June 26, followed by an official inaugural session on June 27, 2025.
This year’s intake reaffirms IIM Kashipur’s commitment to inclusive, forward-looking education that blends technical knowledge, data-driven decision-making, and sustainability-focused leadership.
