IIT Mandi Partners with Nagent AI to Launch Hybrid No-Code AI Programme
The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi’s Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) has joined hands with Nagent AI to introduce a unique hybrid upskilling programme designed to help professionals create fully functional AI agents — without writing a single line of code.
By combining IIT Mandi’s academic expertise with Nagent AI’s industry-ready tools, the initiative aims to bridge India’s AI talent gap and offer a quicker, more accessible route to practical AI adoption. The programme is open to working professionals and is set to benefit multiple sectors, from healthcare to supply chain management and customer service.
Fast-Tracking India’s “AI for All” Vision
According to IIT Mandi, the programme supports India’s “AI for All” strategy by accelerating the journey from AI research to real-world deployment. By enabling rapid development of AI agents, the course can significantly cut traditional upskilling timelines — from several months down to just a few weeks.
This shift is critical for industries facing pressure to adopt AI at scale. Reports suggest that India could face a shortage of over one million AI professionals by 2027, with job openings in the field expected to hit 2.3 million.
Course Structure and Duration
The hybrid course offers 23 hours of training, combining online modules with in-person sessions at the IIT Mandi TIH campus. The curriculum is designed for maximum flexibility while ensuring deep, hands-on learning.
- Registration Deadline: August 30, 2025
- Seats Available: Only 30
- Eligibility: Working professionals with an interest in AI adoption
- Fee: All-inclusive
The limited intake ensures personalised attention, with opportunities to interact closely with academic mentors and industry experts.
Curriculum Highlights
Participants will learn:
- Agent Orchestration — Managing and optimising multiple AI agents.
- Multi-Agent Collaboration — Building agents that can work together to solve complex problems.
- Agentic Prompting — Designing prompts for task-specific outputs.
- Proprietary Data Grounding — Using a no-code Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline for custom data integration.
The course also provides access to hundreds of pre-trained AI models, advanced RAG pipeline tools, and production-grade deployment capabilities via Nagent AI’s platform.
Hands-On Capstone Projects
Learning will culminate in capstone projects developed under the guidance of Nagent AI’s industry professionals and IIT Mandi TIH’s academic advisors. These projects can be tailored to participants’ organisational needs or aligned with industry challenges.
Upon completion, participants can:
- Work on enterprise projects through Nagent AI’s community network.
- Build and deploy AI agents in their own organisations.
Funding and Industry Opportunities
One of the programme’s standout features is its link to IIT Mandi TIH’s “Call for Innovation” pipeline. Selected capstone projects will be eligible for funding of up to ₹1 crore, as well as opportunities for industry showcase and official certification.
This funding aims to encourage real-world AI solutions that can scale beyond the classroom, especially in mid-sized enterprises that often face resource constraints in AI adoption.
Meeting the Growing Demand for No-Code AI Skills
The no-code AI platform market is projected to grow from $4.9 billion in 2024 to $24.8 billion by 2029, creating a massive demand for professionals who can leverage these tools effectively. This programme seeks to position learners at the forefront of that growth, equipping them with both the technical understanding and the practical skills to deliver AI-driven solutions quickly.
A Bridge Between Academia and Industry
By offering a curriculum that blends theory with application, IIT Mandi and Nagent AI aim to create a talent pool ready to meet enterprise AI demands. The hybrid format ensures flexibility for working professionals, while the funding opportunities and industry connections add a direct pathway from learning to implementation.
As one programme mentor put it, “Our goal is to make AI adoption as intuitive as using any modern software tool — without months of coding bootcamps or steep technical barriers.”
With registration closing soon and only 30 seats available, the programme presents a rare opportunity for professionals to position themselves in one of the fastest-growing fields in technology — and potentially walk away with funding and industry recognition.
