
IIT Roorkee, in a major step toward empowering professionals in the field of artificial intelligence, has collaborated with Futurense Technologies, and launched the country’s first Advanced Certification in AI Engineering and AIOps.
IIT Roorkee is set to begin with this pioneering program in August 2025 and is tailored specifically for working professionals looking to gain hands-on expertise in deploying large-scale AI systems in real-world scenarios.
With the rapid growth of AI adoption across industries, there is a pressing need for professionals who understand not just how to build AI models, but how to scale them, monitor them, and make them production-ready. This nine-month advanced certification aims to bridge that exact gap, especially in the emerging areas of cloud-native AI, agentic AI, and AIOps.
Why This Program is a Game-Changer
One of the biggest challenges today is the transition from experimental AI to scalable, production-level solutions. Despite the buzz around Generative AI (GenAI) and large language models (LLMs), very few pilots make it past the proof-of-concept stage. IIT Roorkee’s new program is designed to change that.
Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of how to design, develop, and deploy full-stack AI systems, with a strong emphasis on orchestration, MLOps (Machine Learning Operations), observability, and cloud integration. The course is highly practical, preparing learners to work across major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
A Curriculum that Blends AI with DevOps and Real-World Deployment
The course content goes far beyond traditional AI theory. It’s structured to combine AI model design with DevOps principles to ensure end-to-end production readiness. Participants will be introduced to modern tools and platforms including Hugging Face, AutoGen, LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow—all essential in today’s AI engineering landscape.
Key modules include:
- LLM development and deployment strategies
- Building agent-based AI systems
- Integrating AI into DevOps workflows
- Vector databases and memory management for AI
- Ethical frameworks and compliance in AI applications
- AIOps (AI for IT operations) and intelligent observability
To enhance practical understanding, the program also includes live weekend sessions, interactive assignments, and capstone projects that simulate real-world applications like multi-agent AI workflows and GenAI integrations.
