What Is the Monash International Leadership Scholarship?
Each year, four outstanding international students are awarded this highly competitive, merit-based scholarship. Designed for both undergraduate and postgraduate students starting their studies at Monash University in 2025, the scholarship covers up to 100% of tuition fees for the full duration of the course.
But it’s more than just financial support. This scholarship is for future leaders, change-makers, and community builders—students who not only excel academically but also demonstrate a strong commitment to making a difference.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
- Up to 100% tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of the course

To maintain the scholarship throughout your program, you’ll need to keep a minimum average of 70% each semester.
Who Can Apply?
This scholarship is open to students who:
- Are international applicants (non-Australian citizens)
- Have received an offer to start a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree at Monash University in 2025
- Have outstanding academic records
- Can demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to community service
However, there are certain exclusions. This scholarship is not available to students:
- Enrolling in the Monash MBA, Bachelor of Medical Science, or Doctor of Medicine programs
- Studying through Monash Pathway programs
- Transferring from another Monash campus or another Australian university
- Already receiving financial aid, scholarships, or grants from Monash University
How to Apply for the Scholarship
Applying is a simple and clear process, but you’ll need to be prepared.
- Apply for a Monash course and receive your admission offer.
- Once admitted, you can submit your application for the International Leadership Scholarship through Monash’s online portal.
- You’ll be required to submit:
- Your personal and academic information
- A 500-word statement outlining your leadership experiences, goals, and how you plan to positively impact your community and beyond
