Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s student outreach initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), has set a new global milestone in 2025 by clinching a Guinness World Record for the “Most people on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month.” The 8th edition of the programme saw a record-breaking 3.53 crore registrations on the MyGov platform and reached an audience of over 21 crore viewers across TV, radio, and digital channels.
The Ministry of Education officially announced this achievement, highlighting the overwhelming response from students, teachers, and parents who actively participated in the event. The programme, which started in 2018, is designed to help students approach their exams in a relaxed, confident, and stress-free manner through direct dialogue with the Prime Minister.
The recognition was formally celebrated at a ceremony in New Delhi, where Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Electronics & IT and Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada were present. The Guinness World Record certificate was handed over by official adjudicator Rishi Nath, who validated the event’s registration figures.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Education Minister Pradhan expressed pride and gratitude:
“A matter of great delight and personal satisfaction to accept the Guinness World Record for ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw and Shri @JitinPrasada. #PPC2025 has set a world record with 3.53 crore+ registrations and over 21 crore viewership on television.”

It supports the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which focuses on holistic learning and emotional well-being.”
Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw added that the massive public participation in PPC 2025 was a reflection of the faith citizens have in the initiative. He highlighted the importance of mindfulness and mental health in today’s high-pressure academic environment, stating that this initiative is helping shift the national mindset on how exams should be approached.
Minister Jitin Prasada, on the other hand, credited the success to the MyGov platform, which enabled such massive digital engagement and made it easier for people across the country—irrespective of region or background—to participate. to learn and grow from this initiative.
Launched in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha has grown every year, both in size and scope. What began as a platform for a few thousand students to hear directly from the Prime Minister has now transformed into a nationwide education movement. PM Modi’s interactions cover tips on time management, goal setting, dealing with peer pressure, and maintaining a balance between academics and extracurriculars—all delivered in a candid and motivational tone hat encourages sudents.
The Ministry of Education also disclosed that a total of Rs. 64.38 crore has been spent on organising Pariksha Pe Charcha events since its inception in 2020. Despite this cost, the programme continues to receive strong support from students, parents, and educational institutions across India.
In many ways, PPC 2025 has gone beyond its original purpose. It is now not just a pre-exam interaction, but a cultural moment that encourages young minds to see learning as a lifelong journey rather than a high-stakes race. As students across India gear up for the next academic season, the legacy of Pariksha Pe Charcha continues to grow—both in terms of reach and impact.
