UP BOARD TOPPER Mahak Jaiswal from Prayagraj has achieved an extraordinary milestone by topping the Class 12 exams conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP). With an outstanding score of 486 out of 500, she secured an impressive 97.20%, setting a remarkable benchmark for students across the state.
Mahak, who studies in Baccha Ram Yadav Inter College, Bhulai Ka Pura, Phoolpur, Prayagraj, credits her hard work in disciplined self-study and unconditional encouragement from family and teachers. “I prepared 9 to 10 hours a day without any outside tuition or coaching,” she told. Her hard work and discipline to grasp concepts rather than memorization were keys to her success.

When she was asked what motivated her, the UP BOARD TOPPER highlighted her desire to join the medical field. “My dream is to become a doctor, and I am thankful to my elder sister, my family members, and teachers,” Mahak said. Her determination towards her dream kept her on the path of regular study schedule and hard work.
Mahak’s success story is especially motivating as she did so without any external guidance, banking on her school’s facilities and her own initiatives. Her methodology highlights the efficacy of self-directed study and self-reliance.
The UP Board Class 12 exams had more than 50 lakh students participating, and the exams took place from February 24 to March 12 this year. The overall pass percentage for Class 12 stood at 81.15%. Other top performers include Sakshi from Amroha, Adarsh Yadav from Sultanpur, Anushka Singh from Kaushambi, and Shivani Singh from Prayagraj, each securing 96.80%.
In appreciation of the exceptional performance of students such as Mahak, the Uttar Pradesh government has proposed felicitating all state and district toppers. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the need to recognize and promote academic excellence throughout the state.
