However, to ensure a fair and transparent selection process, the Government of India’s Ministry of Education has clarified that it will not be involved in either nominating or selecting students. The final decision lies solely with the Uzbek government and the university authorities.

  • Hold a valid passport or ID and a Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline
  • Provide a recent resume and passport-size photo
  • Submit proof of English proficiency (IELTS score of 6.0, TOEFL iBT score of 72, or CEFR level B2). If the applicant completed their undergraduate degree in English, this requirement may be waived
  • Write and submit a 1–1.5 page essay on the topic: “Contributing to the Development of Tourism of the SCO Countries”

This essay allows applicants to demonstrate both their writing skills and their understanding of the tourism potential within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) region, which includes countries like India, Uzbekistan, China, and Russia.
