Jharkhand Govt Moves Towards Cancelling JPSC Prelims
The Jharkhand government has announced that it is ready to cancel the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Preliminary Examination along with backlog examinations amid continued protests by job aspirants. Chief Minister Hemant Soren made the announcement on Tuesday as the student agitation over alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations entered its 19th day.
The government has also said that examinations conducted by TDPL, the Lucknow-based IT agency involved in conducting JPSC examinations, will be investigated. The move comes after students raised concerns about the credibility and transparency of recruitment examinations in the state.
Investigation Into Examination Conduct
The state government has indicated that it will examine recruitment examinations that have faced complaints, allegations or suspicions of irregularities. Soren said the administration is prepared to investigate the role of agencies involved in conducting the examinations.

The protest continued after a student march towards the Jharkhand Assembly on Monday. Following the police action during the demonstration, protesters regrouped at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium and continued their sit-in.

Soren defended the actions of the police and administration, stating that security restrictions are normally enforced around constitutional institutions such as legislative assemblies.
