“Mr. Dipke said that with the launch of a nationwide campaign from Pune, they will take the movement to various cities, including Jaipur, Lucknow, Amritsar, and Bengaluru.”

Nationwide Stir Over Exam Irregularities: Cockroach Janta Party to Release Education Manifesto

Pune, June 11: Amid growing concerns over alleged examination irregularities across the country, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Thursday announced that the party will unveil its education manifesto later in the day alongside the launch of a nationwide protest campaign demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Addressing a press conference in Pune, Dipke said the movement would begin from the campus of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and would be carried out peacefully and within the constitutional framework. He stated that the campaign aims to draw attention to issues affecting students, particularly concerns related to examination management, recruitment processes and alleged irregularities in competitive examinations.

The protest campaign, according to Dipke, marks the beginning of a larger nationwide movement that will travel to several cities before culminating at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 20. He said the campaign would seek accountability on matters related to examination administration and would continue to press for the resignation of the Union Education Minister.

Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk is also expected to participate in the peaceful protest scheduled to commence in the evening on the SPPU campus. His participation is likely to draw additional attention to the campaign, which has gained visibility in recent weeks through social media outreach and youth engagement initiatives.

“We are starting our nationwide protest from today at the SSPU. The protest will be peaceful and within the framework of the Constitution. Today, we will be releasing our education manifesto,” Dipke said while outlining the objectives of the movement.

Explaining the key points of the manifesto, Dipke said the document focuses on a range of issues concerning students and examination systems. According to him, the manifesto proposes measures aimed at preventing question paper leaks, ensuring the timely declaration of examination results, improving transparency in recruitment and entrance examinations, strengthening the accountability of examination authorities, and addressing difficulties faced by students due to delays and irregularities in the conduct of examinations.

“The manifesto focuses on preventing question paper leaks, ensuring timely declaration of examination results, improving transparency in recruitment and entrance examinations, strengthening accountability of examination authorities, and addressing issues faced by students due to delays and irregularities in the conduct of examinations,” he said.

Dipke further stated that the movement launched from Pune would be expanded to different parts of the country in the coming days. As part of the nationwide campaign, activists and supporters associated with the initiative are expected to visit several major cities, including Jaipur, Lucknow, Amritsar and Bengaluru, to mobilise public support and engage with students and youth groups.

According to him, the campaign will eventually converge at Jantar Mantar in the national capital on June 20, where participants will gather to reiterate their demands and highlight concerns relating to alleged examination irregularities.

“We will not return until we get the resignation of the education minister, who is responsible for jeopardising the future of more than one crore students,” Dipke claimed.

The CJP founder also said that the organisation remains willing to engage in dialogue with the government regarding its concerns. However, he alleged that instead of opening channels of communication, authorities had taken action against the group’s social media presence.

Dipke claimed that some of the party’s social media accounts had been suspended and expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of engagement with issues being raised by young people.

“CJP is a big message for the country. The government cannot ignore the youth. Instead of calling us fake, try to understand the issues and problems faced by the youth in the country,” he said.

The Cockroach Janta Party has attracted considerable attention in recent weeks through social media campaigns centred on examination-related concerns. The group has sought to position itself as a youth-led platform advocating reforms in the education sector and highlighting challenges faced by students in various competitive and recruitment examinations.

Supporters of the initiative have used online platforms to raise concerns about examination processes, delays in results, and issues affecting candidates preparing for recruitment and entrance tests. These campaigns have contributed to the growing visibility of the organisation among students and young people across different states.

Earlier this month, on June 6, the organisation organised a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, where students and youth from different parts of the country gathered to demand accountability over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations. During that protest, participants also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and urged authorities to take measures to improve transparency and efficiency in examination systems.

With the release of its education manifesto and the launch of a nationwide protest campaign from Pune, the Cockroach Janta Party is seeking to expand its outreach and continue its advocacy on issues related to examinations, recruitment processes and student welfare. The movement is expected to travel across multiple cities in the coming days before reaching New Delhi later this month, where organisers plan to bring together participants from across the country to press their demands.
