NBSE HSSLC 2025: 82.44% Pass, Girls Shine Brighter Across All Streams

NBSE HSSLC 2025 results have been officially declared, bringing joy and clarity to over sixteen thousand students across Nagaland. The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) announced the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) exam results today, with an overall pass percentage of 82.44%. Out of 16,649 candidates, a total of 13,725 students successfully cleared the examination.

Carrying forward a consistent trend, girls have once again outperformed boys, registering a pass percentage of 85.98%, compared to 78.17% among boys. Their performance reflects both academic dedication and growing educational equity in the state.

Stream-Wise Highlights and Toppers

Among the three streams — Arts, Commerce, and Science — the Arts stream had the highest number of students, with 12,404 examinees, and achieved a pass percentage of 84.05%. The top scorer in this stream is Vikhono Senotsu of Government Higher Secondary School, Jotsoma, who scored an impressive 481 marks (96.20%).

In the Commerce stream, Arti Kumari from Ram Janaki Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, secured the top rank with 473 marks (94.60%), helping the stream reach an 81.40% pass rate.

Despite its reputation as the toughest stream, Science still saw a pass percentage of 76.54%. The topper, Snigdha Mukherjee of St. John Higher Secondary Residential School, Dimapur, scored 467 marks (93.40%), showcasing exceptional performance.

  2. Click on “HSSLC 2025 Result”
  3. Enter your roll number and submit
  4. Download and print your marksheet for future use

What Comes Next?

NBSE has opened applications for rescrutiny, which will remain available until May 10, 2025. The fee is INR 500 per subject. Students aiming to improve their scores or those who failed in up to four subjects can apply for Improvement or Compartmental Exams between May 12 and 17, with the exams scheduled for June 2025.

Mark sheets and pass certificates will be issued through schools starting May 2, and Migration Certificates will be available for download from the official portal.
